hey everyone, sorry for posting so much /: but we've sort of decided that we can all just go to macs/wherever to buy food instead of very few people bringing food and drinks. it'd probably be easier, since there's no ice and the food will get cold. really, really sorry for all the trouble /: let's just keep tomorrow simple (it's the company that matters right? :D)

we can just relax at the beach :D but we'll probably cycle first (before it gets too hot). after that we can play games or whatever you want (:

wet weather plan: those who want to can go to kallang leisure park (ice skating, bowling, movies) :D but we really hope it doesn't rain of course!

We've [shiren rachel ness jieru bong and yirong] started on the planning for our reunion! we drew lots and decided on the 16th June! We really want all of you to come, but if you don't, it's okay (: Even if you feel that you will be out of place, don't worry, we're sure you'll have loads of FUN!

WHEN: 16th June, Monday. [10am-6pm. it's better to come early!]
WHERE: East Coast Park [don't worry, 2 people will be at Kallang MRT station @ 9am if you don't know how to get there. then we can go together, yay!]

THINGS TO BRING:
-Yourself! [we'll appreciate it if you keep this within ourselves, no people from other batch, and it'll be really good if you don't bring you parents along. Face it, we're cool enough to go to East Coast Park alone.]
-Loads of moolah [$20] for renting bicycles and food!
-If you can, bring snacks and beach mats. Please try to bring loads of yummy food, cause there will be a lot of people! We'll be bringing some food ourselves, but we can't bring that many for sooooo many people.
-Extra clothes, cause you'll definitely get wet [we'll throw you into the sea, muahaha]

Hi!

Since everyone else seems to be too lazy to blog about it, here goes.

YJ was scouting around madly for a place until the last moment. So we all went to Konkit's place in Simei.

The guys played Xbox. I think it was some Fifa game and Halo. =.=

The girls and some of the guys played cards. Then went to the playground/fitness-corner-for-old-people. Jialat and Ryan demo-ed how to do unmentionable things to two innocent exercise machines. ^^

Um. For the girls it was basically quite boring, frankly =S

Yup okay. For those who missed it, it wasn't very memorable nor interesting.

Random weird events: Chan Wei for some odd reason decided that I should be called a 'fatass' (how creative of him! oho).

YJ (the big mouth) would probably have told a few of you that I'm going to be organising a class reunion. In actual fact all I said was that I MIGHT but oh well, you all know YJ very well. And somehow the news spread reasonably well and so I've been getting harrassed. Never mind that.

What I want you guys to do is this:

1. Check if you're going overseas. Where, when, from when to when. Write it down.

2. Check if you have CCA practices. When, time and date. Write them all down.

3. Check if you have camps or whatever (church camp, school camp, CCA camp, blah). When, time and date. Write them down.

4. Any other appointments that cannot be rescheduled (funeral, weddings, anniversaries, special events, etc.) write them down.

(I will not accept dentist appointments or passport collections as an excuse because they can always be rescheduled. And don't make up some rubbish excuse okay. I accept concerts, whether you are attending or performing, because everybody knows that concerts are important. As for autograph sessions, I doubt that's going to be a problem.)

5. Now type it all out in a comprehensive manner and send it to me. I don't care if you use point form or tables or whatever funny graphs you want to use. Just make sure you note all the important dates and times and reasons. Send it to me at mandiepop@hotmail.com. Alternatively, amandabrocoli@gmail.com but I advise against using the latter. I never check it.

I've given highly comprehensive instructions that I expect to be followed. I appreciate your co-operation. Cliched line: Let's all strive toward making this a happy occasion for all.

a little message for the alertness of global warming:
the glaciers all around the world will melt in 34 years, within our lifetimes. there'll be a lag of 30 years for everything anyone does to help the environment. eg what we're experiencing now is the cause of 1977's actions. so these are the things that we can do in hot and sunny singapore:
1. not use aircon that much, instead use the fan and remember to switch itoff afteruse.
2. switch off computer monitors when not in use
3. after using handphone chargers, switch off the power supply
4. if your parents are getting a new car, encourage them to buy a fuel-efficient one.
5. take public transport, or at best car pool.
6. do not use the water heater on hot days, the sun will do it for u
7. plant trees or plants when u have the time and space.
8. take shorter showers, preferably 5 minutes max, and switch off the showerhead when soaping.
9. collect rainwater and use it for watering plants
10. make compost, find out how urself

if we dont do anything now, we WILL suffer heavily in the future. we dont want skin cancer or sunburns every second we spend in the sun. those who went 10/8, just know that 5 years ago, for the same amount of time spent in the sun, the amount of uv light u get is half of now. so just follow the top 10 steps if possible.

Um hi guys. I have something to say today so I will post about it.

Today during BB... ... ...something happened. Jonathan Chua made a Corporal cry. We were in Praise and Worship, then for no reason Jonathan went to beat some random guy up. The Corporal went to try and calm him down. Jonathan called him all sorts of bad stuff and then the Corporal broke down. I will not mention why, but I seriously think that Jonathan has guts to talk back to a Corporal. Now I fear for my life... hope he didn't read that.

Anyways, I have something else to say. It's a verse (fine three verses) from the Bible. Matthew 5:14-16, NIV. It reads: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." I know some of you are'nt Christians, but I think this can apply to all of us.

Some people here have great talents but are afraid to show them for fear that they will be humiliated in some silly way or another. As the verse(s) say(s), let your light shine before men. Do not be afraid to show your light to the world, my friends. Rather use it for the good of mankind, and contribute to this world in whatever way you can, no matter how small or whatnot.

so its the final year for Harry. his uncle and aunt moves out to be protected by the Order, and he himself gets moved, unfortunately with a willing Voldemort by his side. Mad eye moody dies bringing him to safety (although u can say his death was caused by a dumb shyt coward Mundungus). Oh and ntm, George gets his ear blown off by Snapes' Sectumsempra, and during the wedding Kingsley informs them Scrimgeour (duno how spell la, just the minister of magic) has been killed by Voldemort and his minions and they are coming for him, and they flee. Then well, ya...Harry's adventure goes on.....then he learns that Snape wasn't actually double crossing dumbledore, he was double crossing Voldemort. He merely acted on Dumbledore's orders. Then snape gets promoted to headmaster....and they all save the day by killing voldy....and they move on to the future like, 19 years later where Harry and Ginny have 3 kids, 1 of them named Albus Severus Potter, and Harry tells him that he was named after 2 of the greatest hogwarts headmasters alive....and the story ends by saying that Harry';s scar has not hurt for 19 years. O.O

today i went to shiyin's house, her birthday:20072007. when shiren got my sms that i was outside and announced it, some people, i dono who, started screaming. Then later shiren told me that shiyin had screamed and ran into her toilet. So the others invited me in, coaxing shiyin to come out. in the end i just went home after leaving my present there. Great day for me to travel all the way there from macritchie in wet clothes and with a sprained ankle. Anyway i met this funny and short(like real short) girl called Sarah and she's in RGS Drama club. She said she like my fringe, lol, and said that i should give shiyin the present in a tux, "it's more sincere".... I can bet no boy has ever given her a present, let alone in a tux like, who would? i wont be surprised seeing many responses to this. lolz

I just done my Physical Sciences Prac Test. Today was damn funny. Chen KaiXiang lost his whole smelly bag (LOL) and is left with only his tablet pc. Then in practical someone(i shall not mention who) dropped a glass rod in the sink and it fell thru the holes and got into the drain :D (To Ryan- you just lost 15 marks for Psci. Gratz. There goes your A.)

EDIT he found his bag. It was in the next-door class. Apparently he left it there and they couldnt stand the smell so they returned it. AND he got scolded during CIP :P

HEY 6L!
there was a class reunion on the last saturday of the june holidays, and so many people went! "so many". So many basically consists of Willa, Andrea, Chitun and Richmond. FOUR you know. so many. out of TWENTY SIX. initially, chanwei and bryan seethor were also going. but in the end, they overslept. until ONE PM. -.-
four of them were going to watch a movie. before the movie started, chitun bought nachos and popcorn.then, IT HAPPENED. chitun spilled the cheese on his bag -.- then, when he was trying to clean his bag, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. this time, he dropped the whole tub of popcorn on the floor. -.-

I'm quite surprised, I thought lots of you were going for the funfair but lol, I hardly saw any of you. My timeline goes somewhat along this:

9 I got there
to 10 I spent looking around for teachers and juniors etc etc

I didnt really see anyone until 11 30

Then, I didnt really talk to anyone until 12, where we were watching Mr Ting drown.

At around this time, most people seemed to have disappeared somehow. So I walk around until 1, then I finally see some people at the giant steps. And then they left for Serene Centre, telling me that most of the other people were already at Serene. So I go to Serene and guess what? Hardly anyone's there as well..

But anyway, hope that most of you have seen your juniors; still ready for your CIP hours?

Thanks YJ for helping me clarify when we are going to start on this thingummy. I'd still like to know who and what we are teaching (my chinese is probably worse than some of theirs), I'd seriously do some other subjects which I have more confidence in.

Also, some of them(Janet and I can both clarify this, and YES, the girls as well) have attitude problems, and they will tend to make you want to hit them. Really hard. If you want to back out, do so NOW; saves yourself the psychiatrist fees, which are really high. Someone go tell Mrs Ortega to be stricter about these kids gosh. I nearly blew my brains out trying to get them to move during the DSA excercise.

If you can come up with a good comedy, it will be excellent. However, good comedies are far and few between (damn I don't think that proverb turned out right) but try to add in hokkien. Usually helps quite a bit.

As for the teachers day thing,

to MingKang: The Prefectorial Board of NYPS will have the power to book the hall and stuff, so no worries about that. As for actors, all it takes is just a little initiative to put in some effort. With that I must compliment the girls (i.e. Janet, Cheryl etc.) for already putting in the initiative. I hope that your plan goes through. I would like to look at your script by the end of NEXT WEEK. plenty of time.

Well, this is the first post in a fairly long time. I guess I'll just start of by saying that YJ, I'll join your CIP thing. I've got nothing to do anyways. But I need more information.
(Note that the main reason why I'm joining this is because of some NYPS P6 people whom I met during the DSA excercise. Sadly enough, all of them had attitude problems. GG people.)

YJ, I still think its pretty impossible to organize some Teacher's Day thing, please don't beat me up but its true. Reasons.. yes reasons;

1) To do that, you will need to come up with an idea.
If you haven't done 1) don't read further

2) You need actors

3) You need to make sure that everyone can find the time to rehearse

4) You need substitutes

5) You need to book the hall

Well, all of the above (except 4) are pretty important; if you can't meet anyone of them, you can give up the idea.

30th is coming really soon;
more pieces of information, there still is a chance (an extremely small one) that there may be a dunking machine. But don't keep your hopes up. Mr Ting is still fighting for his "We do Not promote violence" kind of viewpoint.

In response to YJ and Brion's raised suggestions, I think I have to point out something ahaha..
(I sound like a debater zomgod)

Firstly Brion, it won't really be fun if its only a class reunion. After all, there are some people in each class whom we'd rather not have around I think. You have those sort of people in your class I'm pretty sure. But if some classes are really that bonded (unlikely, 6L only I should suppose, not very sure about this. )

Secondly, YJ, the chances that they let us set up something, even on teacher's day, is close to zilch (being honest here) because they usually let the current students do their part for teachers day haha. Again, what OT and OS?
We can only go back on CNY to actually do something... as we can't just drag teachers out for a movie or something like that, they happen to have their commitments as well ahaha.
Ok, fine not even CNY. CNY will have too many people (ex-students) there already. We'd get mowed down and squished. Suggestions go into the small empty space below

A chalet would almost certainly cost more than a hotel, and I doubt that most of us can really stay overnight. There goes hotel as well I suppose.

As for a movie, Janet, you are right that not everyone may like the movie, but its far by the most possible to work out. NYPS is also good, but the only times we can go back is during CNY, or Teachers Day. 2 days only. Try smth else..

We can always ask for ideas. Don't think about going to someone's house. No bungalow is big enough.

Theoretically speaking, I think if people bring sleeping bags, you can cram about 10-15(?) people inside one standard two-single-beds room (um, nobody WANTS queensize-bed rooms.... right?). But if don't mind still can lah... coz actually standard room with queen-size bed is cheaper than with twin beds. Can put boundaries with pillows or something... The rates depends on which hotel though.

I Googled some hotel rates out of boredom, you can read this for fun. (Two cheapest that I found) The rates are all by per-night for a twin bedroom.

Well Amanda, that is a bit violent.

But I'm still wondering why you won't go ahead with this even though it was(still is?) your idea in the first place. Unless you're seriously that lazy. In that case you can go and find some other (bonded) 6L people to carry out the manual labour while you rest lol. You seem to be extremely (Ok, I don't know how long it took you to persuade Richmond) good at forcing(?) people to do things.

Poking classmates out for a drink is also a nice idea, unless your classmates don't want to be poked out of whatever they're doing at the time.

Anyway, a class reunion is a great idea, at least its certainly much easier than a 4 class reunion. However, one(or two?) classes last year were rather unbonded. Well, more of warring parties in a class, but you get the idea. 6L must have been one of the lucky ones. Being unbonded, no one is going to take the trouble to organize such a reunion for each other. I most certainly am not going to. Perhaps Jean might? *Looks at Jean*

Speaking of Jean, I got to tell you that some people think this blog is a waste of time (not naming names, got to keep things private, if not all you people would hunt them down and (eat their intestines) beat them up). It's not his fault, exactly, though. He wasn't even in charge of it until, uh, I coerced him into it...Uh, never mind.That's not the point.

The point is, he was in charge of it until he fractured his collarbone of something. Now that he's temporarily handicapped, I guess there'll be no class reunion. Because I'm too lazy to continue whatever he actually did.

Haha yes I haven't seen/talked to so many people for so long, so yes. This blog really rocks :D
There's so many things I want to say, but I shall just type it in one sentence.

Yes, I miss nanyang so much, and I really want to go back there and relive the "good ol' days", haha; and I really hope to see all of you at the funfair yes?

Okay, now that that's done, let me just chip in with my own opinion:
If you want to have a HUGE gathering, I suggest you quickly organize it. It is possible to get a chalet, maybe to chalet bungalows or something. But---- If you don't book it now, I am quite sure that it will be fully booked by that time of the year.

As for a huge get-together-party for over 100 people, I think its rather impossible, we'd need to rent a clubhouse or smth. No house is big enough. Nor a restaurant.

It HAS been removed. How many people would go and insist(rebel) that Mr Ting should be up there instead of the other teachers? He's got to protect himself from (angry) ex-students.
